AIL: Not Just for Breakfast Anymore The Crunchy Taste of New Wave Disco-Death-Rock PAILs latest retail release, Story of a SpaceMonkey, is an epic, grand, and absorbing tale of a space-born virus and its effects on a mythological world. The PAIL line-up of Benjamin Morgan (x-Inhabit), Brad Schmerbeck, Mike Titsworth, and Rachel Titsworth takes listeners on a journey that is laced with thoughtful lyrics, crushing instrumentation, and vivid imagery. Their newest album shines as an example of what home recording can and should be. The music is enjoyably addictive and has been referred to as the new wave of disco-death-rock, and the live experience is overwhelming and sure to please. How the Bucket Began, and What its Dished Out From the ashes of hardcore thrash pioneers Angkor Wat (Metal Blade Records), two bands emerged: PAIL and Skrew. PAIL has taken a non-commercial route for most of its 14-year history. Energy has been put into writing, music production, and an underground marketing campaign; nearly 10,000 free recordings have been distributed across Texas. PAIL has also created six videos that have been in regular rotation on the Austin Music Network for the last ten years. In 2000, the Mindscar video was included on the Reel Austin DVD, a compilation of viewer favorites. Whats on the Dinner Menu? PAIL has always been about the creative process, the interaction between artists, and the lasting friendships that it has produced. The focus is the journey, not necessarily the destination.
